“This Is Not a Riot,” Claims TikTok Influencer Filming from Flaming Juice Bar

SILVER LAKE — Amid plumes of smoke and the faint sound of police sirens, TikTok influencer Sage Evergreen (@SageIsRising) assured her 1.3 million followers that “nothing violent is happening,” despite standing directly in front of a juice bar engulfed in flames.

“I’m literally vibing,” Sage said in a live video while sipping a charcoal-mango immunity elixir. “People are being so dramatic about the tear gas. It’s like, exfoliating.” Moments later, a flashbang detonated two feet away. She captioned it: “LA is healing.”

According to witnesses, Sage had wandered into the demonstration while looking for an “aesthetic alley” to film content for her upcoming eco-lifestyle brand, “Crisis Chic.” She stayed after discovering that the chaos boosted engagement by 400%.

Firefighters attempting to control the blaze were reportedly asked to step out of frame by Sage’s assistant. “Can you hose later?” she allegedly said. “We’re shooting a Reel called ‘Flames of Freedom.’”

When asked by a reporter if she was concerned about the safety of nearby residents, Sage replied, “Oh, I don’t live here. I’m staying in Topanga. This is just for the feed.”

The juice bar, now a pile of molten hemp protein and broken dreams, issued a statement thanking Sage for the exposure. She responded by launching a limited-edition protest candle called “Sandalwood Smoke Grenade.”
