Viral Facebook Drama
“She Said Use Cream of Mushroom. I Suggested Greek Yogurt. She Called Me Satan’s Ladle.”
It began with a benign post in the “Harmony Hills Neighborhood Cooks” Facebook group. Sandra posted a beloved casserole recipe using cream of mushroom soup. Lisa suggested an alternative. Within six comments, the thread had exploded into 217 replies, one deleted marriage announcement, and a blocked cousin.
“She questioned my flavor profile. I questioned her integrity,” Sandra said. “Then she brought up 2013’s chili cook-off incident. Uncalled for.”
Witnesses report GIF warfare, vague subposts, and an all-caps recipe titled *REAL CASSEROLE (No Hippie Mods!!!).*
Several bystanders attempted peacemaking with emojis. It backfired. One peace dandelion sparked a diatribe about “passive-aggressive garnish.”
Facebook moderators have since banned casserole talk entirely, replacing it with quinoa-only recipe threads and a weekly “calm-down lasagna” post.
Lisa now runs a rival group: *Casserole Freedom Front*, where no substitutions are allowed and trust is baked at 350° for 45 minutes.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
