Gen Z Activists Demand Marxism Be Explained in Under 15 Seconds
In a bold TikTok announcement, Gen Z activists called for all Marxist theory to be condensed into a single 15-second video format, complete with pop music, face filters, and footnotes delivered via emoji.
“It’s not that we’re anti-theory,” said 21-year-old organizer Lixie Moonstone. “It’s just… if Marx wanted us to understand this stuff, he wouldn’t have written in 19th-century German and used words like ‘superstructure.’”
The movement, dubbed “Lenin in a Minute,” has already produced 342 viral explainers. Topics include:

The most popular video, “Dialectics for Hot People,” features a glitter filter and a sped-up remix of Bella Ciao. It has 11 million views.
Critics argue this trivializes historic thought. TikToker @MarxDaddy69 responded, “No, what trivializes Marxism is unpaid internships.”
Nancy Pelosi, when shown a clip, asked if “FYP” was a caucus.
Meanwhile, Engels’ estate issued a cease and desist against the account @BeardedBabeWithTheory.
