Extreme Minimalists
“They Don’t Own Chairs. They Sit on Intention.”
After reading half of *The Life-Changing Magic of Not Having Stuff*, Drew and Lila embraced extreme minimalism, selling every possession down to a single stainless steel spoon they now refer to as “Tool of All.”
“We’ve transcended furniture,” Drew said from a pile of emotional discipline. “We eat, reflect, and meditate with the spoon. It’s a metaphor. Also a utensil.”
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own objects–but only if they’re emotionally decluttered and spiritually dishwasher safe.
The couple now hosts a weekly podcast recorded in their echoey apartment, where they discuss “the trauma of socks” and review air.
They’ve been sponsored by a brand of invisible tea called *EmptyLeaf.*
One friend left mid-visit claiming “I stubbed my toe on the void.”
They hope to one day downsize into a thought bubble.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
