Weird Side Hustles
“They Said It Was Stupid. Then They Started Yawning.”
When freelance musician Devon Arlo started recording himself yawning and uploading it to YouTube as a joke, he didn’t expect 4.7 million views, 19 sponsorship offers, and three marriage proposals from Sweden.
“Turns out, yawns are contagious even over the internet,” he said, sipping decaf tea in his studio, which doubles as his bedroom-slash-yawn-booth.
He now offers premium yawns on his site, *YawnHub*, including themed collections like *Sleepy Viking*, *Sad Cowboy Sighs*, and *Romantic Nostalgia Yawn with Optional Humming.*
One loyal customer wrote: “I haven’t slept in days, but his yawns make me question if I even need consciousness anymore.”
Devon claims he’s “channeling drowsy spirit energy through his jaw chakra.” Scientists remain unconvinced. His dentist, however, is concerned.
He’s booked to appear on Shark Tank next month. His pitch: “Contagious sleep, one yawn at a time.”
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
