Dog Parks

“It Was Supposed to Be Fetch. It Became Feral Courtroom Theater.”

The peace of Maple Paw Dog Park was shattered after a territorial dispute between a golden retriever named Cheddar and a pug named Beef over a slobbery tennis ball escalated into full-blown canine court drama.

Owners tried to intervene, but ended up yelling “He had it first!” and “That’s not even your ball!” louder than their pets.

Things got weirder when Cheddar’s owner, Greg, shouted, “He’s just like his father!” and Beef’s owner, Tasha, countered with “At least he doesn’t hump indiscriminately!”

The argument crescendoed into a chaotic bark-off, followed by a moment of silence, then an accidental proposal when Greg, on one knee trying to tie his shoe, was mistaken for expressing love. Tasha, exhausted and confused, said yes.

The dogs celebrated by peeing on a park bench in sync. A chihuahua DJ live-streamed the event on Petstagram.

The couple plans to marry under a giant arch made of frisbees. Beef and Cheddar remain in mediation.

Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
