Gaga Declares Herself “Independent Nation” to Avoid Bezos Taxes
After being rejected by Jeff Bezos for a $6 million wedding performance fee, Lady Gaga has declared herself an independent nation.
Officially named “Gaganova,” the sovereign pop state exists in her Malibu estate and has applied for U.N. recognition, citing “creative taxation sovereignty.”
Gaga stated at a glitter-filled press conference:
“I wanted to sing ‘Bad Romance.’ Instead, I got Bad Accounting.”
The pop icon introduced her national currency, the Chromaticoin, and promised that citizens of Gaganova—called “Little Diplomats”—will never be taxed more than 1% if their shoes contain sequins.
Meanwhile, the IRS issued a statement: “We don’t currently recognize pop royalty as sovereign entities… though we are monitoring Beyoncé closely.”
Bezos’s team issued a short reply: “We respect the cultural independence of all musicians. We also respect bulk toilet paper.”
Gaga retaliated by hosting her own “micro-wedding” for herself, where she both officiated and performed—twice—at a cost of $6 million… all funded by merch sales and one rogue NFT of her meat dress.
Analysts agree: Gaganova’s economy is more stable than several U.S. states.
And as for Bezos?
He now owns six jetpacks, one spaceport, and the most expensive wedding without music in history.
But no anthem will ever match “Born This Way… Tax-Free.”
