Tech startup RealTalk has launched a revolutionary new application that translates common dating profile phrases into their actual meanings, potentially saving millions of hours of dating confusion.

SAN FRANCISCO — The app, which uses advanced AI and years of disappointment data, can instantly decode phrases like “I’m fluent in sarcasm” (translation: “I’m mean but want to seem clever”) and “I love to travel” (translation: “I went to Cabo once and won’t shut up about it”). Beta testing revealed that 94% of profiles, when translated, simply read “I’m lonely and have trust issues but I’m really good at hiding it with humor.” The app is expected to either revolutionize online dating or completely destroy it. Developers are surprisingly okay with either outcome.
