Social Media Blunders
Relationship Ends with 73k Likes, One Torn ACL
In a display of emotional choreography and poor decision-making, TikTok couple @BaeAndSlay announced their breakup through a fully produced dance video set to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U.” The performance featured synchronized backflips, interpretive sobbing, and a symbolic unfollow performed in slow motion.
“We just wanted to be transparent with our fans,” said Slayton (the ‘Slay’ of the pair), while applying glitter tears under ring lights. “And maybe go viral one last time.”
The video quickly garnered 73,000 likes, 3,000 comments, and one international remix by a K-pop group. Confused followers alternated between grief and arousal. One top comment read, “Wait, are they sad or just slaying too hard?”
Relationship therapist Dr. Kendra Spool called it “the inevitable consequence of monetizing romance.” She added, “If your emotional intimacy has a hashtag, it might be time for therapy. Or merch.”
The couple’s joint merch store now sells post-breakup hoodies that read “Unshipped But Dripping.”
As of today, Slayton has started a new solo series called “Healing Thru Hip-Hop” while Bae (real name: Madison) has launched a mukbang revenge series featuring “Foods He Said I Couldn’t Eat.”
Neither has addressed custody of their shared ring light, emotional support hedgehog, or 2.1 million followers, who remain torn between fandom and therapy.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
