Confused Amateur Magicians
“He Meant to Pull a Rabbit Out of a Hat. Instead, He Pulled a Muscle and Triggered a Neighborhood Chase.”
In an attempt to dazzle his niece’s birthday party guests, amateur magician Brad “The Dazzlenator” Maloney attempted a classic trick: pulling a rabbit from a top hat. Unfortunately, the rabbit–a borrowed pet named Muffin–escaped mid-prep and led twelve screaming children and one confused dachshund on a chaotic run through three adjacent yards.
“I shouted ‘PRESTO!’ and she just bolted,” Brad said. “Which, in fairness, was still dramatic.”
Guests initially applauded, thinking the panic was part of a bold avant-garde act. “We thought it symbolized freedom,” said one parent. “Then he fell into the sprinkler and started sobbing.”
The show also included a card trick that ended with a paper cut and a levitation illusion that turned out to be a trampoline hidden under a rug. The audience gave a standing ovation, assuming the blood and bruises were intentional.
Brad has since gone viral on TikTok under the tag #Tragician. He’s booked to perform at a local brewery, where expectations are low and rabbits are banned.
