Dumpster Diving Gone Luxe
“She Found It in a Bin. Now It’s on the Runway. And Also Slightly Mildewed.”
Fashion influencer Bellamy Quartz unveiled her new sustainable line, *Upcycled Elegance*, at a Brooklyn pop-up that smelled faintly of despair and Febreze. Her collection featured garments entirely sourced from dumpsters “curated for aesthetic trauma.”
The centerpiece: a mold-speckled fedora titled “Existential Drip” sold for $900 to an attendee who described it as “post-trashcore.”
Bellamy insists the line “challenges capitalist ideas of value by celebrating the journey of garbage.” Each piece comes with a backstory and coordinates of the dumpster it was discovered in.
Critics have accused her of glamorizing poverty. Bellamy responded by hosting a “Glam Dive Gala,” where guests wore trash bags lined with imported silk and drank sparkling rainwater.
Her next launch: *Banana Peels and Lace,* a line of luxury footwear made from old yoga mats and “emotional compost.”
The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a polite warning. Bellamy framed it and listed it for $175.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
