Accidental Group Texts
“They Needed a Laugh. I Gave Them a Scandal.”
When 72-year-old Helen McGrady tried to forward a saucy meme of a shirtless fireman holding banana bread to her bridge club, she accidentally sent it to the entire congregation of Faith Light Baptist Church. The meme was captioned, “Hot and ready to rise–just like my buns.”
“I thought it was hilarious,” Helen said. “I didn’t realize Pastor Mike was on the chain.”
Initial reactions ranged from stunned silence to a record number of prayer hand emojis. One deacon called it “a moral lapse wrapped in wholesome carbohydrates.”
Rather than apologize, Helen doubled down–posting a new meme every Sunday. Topics have included shirtless lumberjacks, suggestive pies, and a very controversial gif titled *Thou Shalt Not Bake Shirtless Without Oven Mitts.*
Helen’s following has grown. She now runs a Facebook page called *Holy and Hot*, offering sassy devotionals and cheeky casserole reviews.
The church eventually forgave her–especially after her memes started generating ad revenue and paid for a new baptistry Keurig station.
Pastor Mike has since joined Facebook. His profile picture? A smirking Helen holding banana bread.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
