Hairstyles from Another Decade
“He Calls It His ‘Time Curl.’ We Call It a Hazard.”
Thirty-five-year-old Roy Henderson refuses to update his look. Still sporting a high-maintenance 1987 perm and a glare that says “Bon Jovi was robbed,” Roy has become a minor local legend and a major fire risk.
“I style it with Aqua Net and the pain of a forgotten era,” Roy explained while flipping his bangs and misting the room with regret.
His hair once clogged a Dyson. It also reportedly caused a minor power outage at a Chili’s when it interfered with a ceiling fan during fajita hour.
Children fear it. Boomers salute it. Hairdressers plead for mercy.
Roy runs a YouTube channel called *Curls of Thunder*, where he reviews vintage mousse and explains how to “get volume with vengeance.”
His license photo is 4 inches taller than regulation.
Roy’s dream is to be buried in a convertible–roof down, perm up, forever frozen in a windswept pose.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
