Tattoo Regrets
“It Was Supposed to Say ‘HODL Forever.’ Now It Says ‘Hot Wings, $84.92.'”
In an attempt to “merge skin and finance,” 28-year-old tech enthusiast Jax Reed had his crypto wallet QR code tattooed across his forearm in bold Helvetica. “It was going to be my legacy,” he said. “Now it’s my loss receipt.”
During a pool party, his buddy Derek scanned the code as a joke–and accidentally used it to purchase two large pepperoni pizzas and a case of Baja Blast.
The tattooed wallet contained 3.7 ETH. The receipt came with breadsticks.
Jax tried to recover the funds, but all that remains is a grease-stained confirmation email and a suspiciously full Derek.
He’s since covered the tattoo with an image of a burning ledger and the words “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Chains.”
Jax is now broke, embarrassed, and launching a podcast called *CryptoSkin: Finance on Flesh.*
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
