Subscription Box Addiction

“Every Day Is Christmas. A Very Confusing, Mildly Guilt-Inducing Christmas.”

Bradley Minton started with a snack box. Then a shaving kit. Then an “artisan envelope experience.” Now, he’s receiving an average of seven packages a day, ranging from handcrafted marbles to organic beard confetti. “I don’t even have a beard,” Bradley admitted. “But the box promised self-discovery through sandalwood.”

Friends say his apartment looks like Etsy and Amazon had a midlife crisis in a container store. “There’s no floor,” said his neighbor. “Just sustainably packaged whimsy.”

Bradley subscribes to boxes including: BrewCrate (single-origin tea curated by witches), SockBoxPro, PuzzlePals, and something called *The Monthly Owl.*

He once opened a box that just said “Breathe” and contained three pinecones, a poem about moss, and an unsigned breakup letter.

Psychologists call this “Curated Identity Syndrome,” where people outsource personality to shipping labels. “I’m 40% personality, 60% bubble wrap,” Bradley whispered.

He’s launched an unboxing channel titled *Brad Opens Up,* which is both literal and metaphorical. It now has 78 followers, including his mom and an algorithm pretending to be a llama.

Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.

By Jack Handey

Jack Handey was born in the smallest town in Arizona, a place so forgotten by cartographers that locals had to mail postcards from the next county just to prove they existed. Growing up surrounded by tumbleweeds and a one-room schoolhouse that doubled as a post office, Jack developed a knack for finding absurdity in everyday life. His first audience was a group of cattle, who reportedly laughed harder than some late-night crowds. He left town with a notebook full of surreal one-liners and returned years later as a cult hero, known for his off-kilter “Deep Brain” that made Live Tonight Comedy a stranger, funnier place. Audiences describe him as “the wisdom of a desert sage filtered through a cracked cactus.” Today, Handey remains the pride of Arizona’s smallest town, proof that even the tiniest dots on the map can produce the biggest laughs.
