Mid-Tier Influencers
“They Thought I Was There to Refill the Hummus. I Was There to Influence It.”
Social media personality Breeanna Soleil, known to her 14,302 Instagram followers as @BreeTheVibe, caused a scene at the Green Earth Lifestyle Expo when she attempted to enter the VIP section without a pass, citing her status as a “micro-celebrity of moderate consequence.” Security mistook her for catering support and handed her a tray of vegan spring rolls.
“I’m an influencer,” Breeanna said. “I don’t carry trays. I curate them.”
Event staff claim Breeanna entered through the exhibitor’s entrance, live-streaming a speech about “authenticity capitalism” while walking backward in faux snakeskin boots. Witnesses report she became irate when her name wasn’t on the press list and yelled, “I’ve moved product! I moved three bottles of oat creamer last week alone!”
The confusion worsened when a real caterer named Briana Soleil showed up, wearing the same shade of sage green and carrying a clipboard. “She looked more official,” said a staffer. “Plus, her hummus game was tight.”
In an effort to salvage dignity, Breeanna tried to host an impromptu “sponsor reveal ceremony” in the expo hallway. It involved mood boards, ring lights, and a single-person audience: a child who thought she was a Disney villain.
After being gently escorted out, Breeanna took to Instagram Stories to weep-filter her side of the story: “Sometimes the world isn’t ready for your vibe. But your vibe is valid. Even when mistaken for finger food personnel.”
Her followers rallied with hashtags like #TrayShamed and #JusticeForBree, prompting a GoFundMe for “emotional recovery and glitter balm.” So far, it’s raised $18 and a coupon for hummus.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
