Unintentional innuendos
“My Career is Now Mostly Cloudy With a Chance of Lawsuits”
Veteran meteorologist Chuck Blanton was let go from KZZZ-7 News after describing the weekly forecast as “moist, sensual, and best enjoyed without pants.” The segment, which aired live during the 6 a.m. broadcast, has since gone viral and been remixed into a disco weather anthem on TikTok.
“I meant the humidity was high,” Blanton insisted. “I just got carried away with the dew point.”
Management issued a statement apologizing to viewers and reminding staff that “weather should never be sexy, no matter how throbbing the barometric pressure.”
Chuck, who had 22 years of broadcast experience and a minor in erotic poetry, claims the phrasing was “an honest mistake” and blames the teleprompter, which was allegedly hacked by bored interns.
Viewers were divided. One woman called the station to say, “It’s about time the weather made me feel something.” Others demanded a full investigation by the National Weather Service and possibly a priest.
Chuck has since been hired by a YouTube ASMR channel called “WhisperStorms,” where he forecasts the rain while gently rubbing a plastic fern.
Meanwhile, KZZZ-7 has instituted a new dress code, banned adjectives like “luscious,” and installed a seven-second delay for all forecast-related moaning.
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
