Cowboy-Turtle Hybrid Confirmed for Fall Lineup
In what can only be described as a genetic and narrative leap, Paramount and Skydance confirmed that this fall will debut television’s first-ever cowboy-turtle hybrid protagonist: Sheriff Leatherback.
The show, Shell & Spurs, follows Sheriff Leatherback—a mutant turtle raised by horses and forged in the fires of western justice. His mission? To bring order to a lawless frontier filled with possum rustlers, prairie ninjas, and the occasional rogue bidet.
“We wanted to explore the unexplored,” said executive producer Trixie Plum. “Like what happens when a reptile in spurs questions his own cold-blooded morality.”
The series promises all the staples: standoffs at high noon, slow-motion pizza tosses, and saloons that double as dojo training halls. A leaked script features the Sheriff interrogating a coyote gang leader while knitting a poncho out of tumbleweeds.
Conservative viewers love the cowboy parts. Liberals adore the environmental themes. Middle schoolers are just here for the catchphrase: “Draw, partner… and then draw again—I need blueprints.”
