AFT Endorses “Red But Make It Beige” as Official Color of Solidarity

In an effort to modernize its image while not scaring suburban donors, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) unveiled its new official color: “Red But Make It Beige.”

The muted hue, described by Pantone as “courageous but practical,” is designed to evoke both union strength and the ability to blend into school board meetings without raising ideological eyebrows.

“We wanted something that says, ‘We’re not radicals, but we will burn things down if the copier breaks again,’” said AFT creative director Mallory Stern.

The color rollout included new merchandise: protest signs, t-shirts, and lunchboxes featuring the slogan “Subtle Solidarity.” One banner read, “Workers of the World… Kindly Request a Raise.”

Fox News immediately accused the AFT of engaging in “camouflaged communism.”

Meanwhile, a Utah school district banned the color, calling it “emotionally suggestive.”

Teachers across the country embraced the rebrand. “Finally, a revolution I can wear to PTA without a jacket,” said Ms. Denise Alvarado, a 3rd-grade art teacher in Akron.

The AFT assured skeptics the next step is a fragrance line: “Scents of the Strike.”

They describe it as “notes of paper, passion, and unpaid overtime.”
