Hiking Gone Horribly Wrong
From Trail Mix to Anarchy
A group of urban hikers attempted a “moderate” trail outside Denver but quickly devolved into chaos when their phone-based map app lost signal and someone shouted, “We must now elect a leader!”
Day One: Hope
They rationed protein bars and held a vote to determine who would hold the group’s single reusable straw.
Day Two: Madness
“We formed tribes,” said former CPA Rachel. “One worshiped a squirrel. The other tried to negotiate with pinecones.”
Rescue Effort
Rangers found the group only 0.6 miles from the parking lot, but the hikers had already created their own flag and currency (dried mango).
Conclusion
They’ve since returned to society, but insist on only speaking in trail-based metaphors. The squirrel? Now a mayor.
