Jihadist Yoga Classes Promise Explosive Core Strength

In the latest attempt to rebrand jihad for Generation Z, a militant-affiliated wellness collective has launched “Jihadist Yoga,” a controversial hybrid of deep stretching, intermittent shouting, and bombastic breathing designed to “prepare the body for martyrdom and the afterlife”s flexibility demands.”

Classes begin with the instructor — clad in modest camo and a beardnet — shouting “Allahu Exhale!” before leading participants into the first pose: the Downward Denier. From there, students flow through movements like the Burqa Balance, Veiled Warrior II, and the explosively misunderstood Detonation Plank.

Promotional pamphlets promise “core strength to resist Western temptation and maintain posture during lengthy declarations of death to infidels.”

Clerics are divided. Ayatollah Hashemi of Qom issued a fatwa calling yoga “spiritual colonization wrapped in Lycra.” Yet the class”s founder, Brother Namast-Akbar, insists it”s fully sharia-compliant: “We”ve removed all Hindu references and replaced them with verses about divine stretching.”

Classes are held in abandoned training camps, now rebranded as “inner sanctums of serenity and semtex.” The yoga mats are upcycled prayer rugs, and refreshments include halal kale and date smoothies, though dates must be consumed without smiling.

During one session, a participant pulled a hamstring while attempting the controversial pose known as the “One-Legged Mujahid.” Emergency clerics were summoned to determine whether the injury constituted a martyr”s wound. Verdict: “Only if he limps with piety.”

Despite backlash, the program has expanded to include “Shaheed Spin Class” and “Burpee Like the Prophet,” attracting disillusioned radicals seeking better posture and reduced cholesterol.
