Garage Band Reunions
“They Called It Catharsis. We Called It a Noise Violation.”
What began as a nostalgic attempt to reclaim their youth has quickly turned into a suburban menace after four dads reunited their college garage band, *Dad Zeppelin,* and began rehearsing nightly in a two-car garage with poor insulation and even worse harmony.
“We’re not just playing music,” said lead vocalist Gary (also a CPA). “We’re healing. Loudly.”
The group’s setlist includes Nirvana, early U2, and a hauntingly flat rendition of “Free Fallin'” that caused a local cat to run away for three days.
Neighbors report hearing drum solos described as “cardiovascular incidents with rhythm” and guitar riffs that sound “like someone angrily strangling an extension cord.”
The band practices from 10 p.m. to “whenever we feel whole again,” which has included sunrise and several unmedicated therapy sessions disguised as bridge sections.
The HOA issued a cease-and-desist letter, which the band autographed and returned with glitter.
*Dad Zeppelin* has since booked a gig at the local VFW, and are working on their first single, *Midlife Crisis (In D Minor).*
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
