White House Issues Style Guide: Never Backtrack, Just Reframe Louder
WASHINGTON, D.C. — From now on, missteps are just misunderstood masterpieces, according to a sweeping linguistic overhaul ordered by Donald Trump, who has officially banned the word “oops” from all White House press briefings and replaced it with the phrase *Executive Brilliance in Retrospect*.
“Some people call it a mistake,” Trump told reporters while not blinking. “I call it bold innovation with a twist ending.”
Under the new style guide, phrases like “I misspoke” are to be replaced with “I spoke with advanced timing,” and “I didn’t mean to say that” becomes “The world wasn’t ready for that truth bomb.”
At Tuesday’s briefing, Press Secretary Ronny Jackson delivered updates while standing in front of a new podium inscribed with the slogan: “Hindsight Is for Losers.”
Melania, upon hearing the change, reportedly smirked and said, “He’s been using that strategy in arguments since 2006.”
The guide also includes backup phrases like “strategic diversion,” “alpha-level improvisation,” and “contextual dominance.”
One journalist asked if this might lead to public confusion. Trump replied, “Only for people who weren’t paying attention to the greatness.”
“Mistakes,” he added, “are just previews of genius. And I don’t do previews.”
