Celebrity Baby Name Parodies
“He’s Not a Baby. He’s a Brand Launch.”
Influencer couple Skylar Moon and Jetson Blaze shocked the internet this week by announcing the birth of their first child, a 7 lb. 4 oz. bundle of sponsored content named Hashtag Von Crystal-Yeet Moon-Blaze. The birth announcement was livestreamed in partnership with four brands, two moonstone vendors, and an energy drink infused with monk tears.
“We didn’t name him,” said Jetson during the livestream. “We co-created his identity using a quantum vibe generator and a discontinued iPad with the Notes app open.”
Skylar added, “Hashtag is a statement about post-language living. We considered just naming him ‘?’ but our doula couldn’t pronounce it.”
The baby’s middle name, “Von Crystal-Yeet,” combines Jetson’s German techno heritage and Skylar’s spiritual side-hustle as a “chakra disruptor.” The hyphen is legally required by California law when your baby name reaches six syllables and risks summoning trademark issues.
Reaction was swift. Commenters on the birth reel posted responses like “Child Protective Services, but make it fashion” and “That kid’s going to major in silent resentment.”
Linguists expressed concern. “This name is a linguistic crime scene,” said Dr. Philomena Zark, author of *Naming Without Narcissism.* “The child will spend most of second grade explaining that no, he’s not a Wi-Fi password.”
Skylar defended their decision in a tearful TikTok, stating, “We didn’t want to name him something basic like ‘Oliver’ or ‘Emily.’ We wanted something disruptive, like the way he entered the world–midway through a kombucha brand launch.”
Jetson is currently working on a lullaby album titled *Baby’s First Influencer Collab,* featuring auto-tuned womb sounds and a cover of “Twinkle Twinkle Lit AF Star.”
Meanwhile, baby Hashtag’s first words are expected to be “link in bio.”
Auf Wiedersehen, amigos.
