In a turn of events that redefined investigative journalism as performance art, CNN anchors took to the airwaves Thursday night to report the discovery of “invisible ink” in the Epstein files — which, according to their team of guest mystics and experimental fiction editors, reveals Donald Trump’s name when viewed under “emotional ultraviolet light.”
“We now have reason to believe,” said Anderson Cooper while holding up a blank piece of paper and squinting at it meaningfully, “that Donald Trump’s name is… spiritually embedded in these documents. And that’s worse than it being physically there, because it means we have to feel it.”
Co-host Erin Burnett nodded gravely.
“If you look closely at page 247, and tilt it toward the sun just right — while humming ‘Ave Maria’ — you can see the letters D, J, and possibly a T. It’s either that or a mayonnaise stain.”
