Media Discovers Trump’s Name Missing

In Major Scoop, Media Discovers Trump’s Name Missing — Blames Trump

In what’s being hailed by journalism professors as “a breakthrough in circular logic,” multiple media outlets have now concluded that the absence of Donald J. Trump’s name from the Epstein files is Trump’s fault.

“That’s just classic Trump,” sighed CNN’s Anderson Cooper, stirring a soy latte while staring into a folder full of blank pages. “Only he would orchestrate not being mentioned.”

The theory — quickly dubbed “The Vanishing Act” — spread like wildfire across MSNBC, The Atlantic, and a now-fully-woke Martha Stewart Living. All insist Trump deliberately maneuvered to be excluded from Epstein’s documents by using a combination of plausible non-involvement, legal distance, and not being there.

“This is just what authoritarian strongmen do,” said a New York Times op-ed. “They control the narrative by not participating in the events we wish they had.”

Over on ABC, George Stephanopoulos nodded along as a guest analyst suggested Trump’s absence could be “a disinformation tactic” taught to him by Russian hypnotists or possibly Penn & Teller.

“We know what we didn’t see,” he said, “but we don’t know what we would have seen if he hadn’t known we’d be looking.” The studio audience clapped, mostly out of fear.

The logic grew so airtight, Rachel Maddow needed a fresh whiteboard.

“He didn’t appear in the documents,” she said, pacing, “because appearing would make him look too guilty. So he didn’t appear, making him… guilty.”

She paused, squinted at the camera, and whispered, “This is how fascism hides.”

Comedian Bill Burr weighed in during a stand-up set in Cleveland:

“So lemme get this straight… they looked through the files, didn’t find his name, and then got mad at him? That’s like opening your fridge, not finding cake, and punching the guy who owns the bakery down the street.”

Meanwhile, a trending Vox article titled “Trump’s Tactical Erasure: The Weaponization of Absence” posited that the former president may have used “quantum optics” or “a cloaking device made of white privilege” to redact himself out of history.

Even NPR’s investigative team weighed in with a live special from a wheat field in Vermont:

“Is absence neutral? Or is it an act of colonial deflection?” They closed the segment with a flute solo and 13 minutes of polite breathing.

As for Trump, he took to Truth Social to mock the entire spectacle:

“I was so not in the files, they had to invent a new conspiracy to explain how I did it. You’re welcome.”

At press time, The Washington Post was reportedly working on a 3,000-word analysis titled:
“The Sound of No Trump: A Silence So Loud It Echoes Through Democracy.”

Expect a Pulitzer. Or at least a therapy session.
