Google Rebrands as Soul Search

Google Rebrands as Soul Search, Launches Digital Therapy

In a bold rebrand described as “part spiritual journey, part UX refresh,” Google announced it will henceforth operate as Soul Search™, positioning itself not merely as an information engine, but as “a mirror for your innermost questions.”

The new search bar no longer auto-completes based on trends but instead scans your emotional state via keystroke cadence and cookie-based trauma patterns. Type “how to fix a leaky faucet” and Soul Search may gently ask, “Are you sure the leak isn’t in your heart?”

A press release states that Soul Search will prioritize healing over ranking, offering digital therapy pop-ups before any results are shown. Sample prompt: “Before we explore ‘best brunch in Dallas,’ would you like to process your relationship with brunch?”

As part of the rollout, Soul Search has partnered with Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop to serve aromatherapy GIFs and with Dr. Phil’s AI twin to co-host “Search Intervention Wednesdays.”

Critics warn this may compromise utility. “I asked about car insurance quotes and got a breathing exercise and a guided memory regression,” said one user. “Also, the search results now smell faintly of sage.”

Nonetheless, early adopters are euphoric. “I haven’t found my lost cat,” said user @Crystals4Cash, “but I did find my inner child sobbing in a Google Doc.”

Coming next: Soul Search Premium—includes weekly mantras, deep-indexed horoscopes, and the removal of all ads targeting your insecurities… for only $29.99/month.
